A short steep trail that will give you an impressive overlook of the Chewelah valley. Bring a tent and camp at the small campsite near the summit. Hike right to the cliffs edge and enjoy the amazing views from a metal bench. Trail is well maintained but could be too steep for younger children. The trail goes on to the actual summit and adds another mile to the hike.

It’s a steep climb for a short distance and the reward is a spectacular view of the valley. Be sure to go out to the large outcropping for an unobstructed view!

Great trail! It’s a pretty steep ascent to a couple beautiful lookouts. We spent a couple hours and checked out the summit as well as the overlooks. Would definitely recommend.
