Getting There

Poo Poo Point Trail is a great hike to Poo Poo Point on the shoulder of West Tiger Mountain within Tiger Mountain State Forest. The trail can be accessed from the Issaquah Alps trailhead where there is free parking. There is also parking at Issaquah High School. The trail starts off with a gentle incline but gets increasingly steeper the farther you go. The trail follows Many Creeks Valley and crosses several creeks. There is a nice bridge that crosses Gap Creek which makes for a good place to explore and take a break. The entire trail is under tree cover so you will never be directly in the sun. At the top, there are great views, especially at sunset. There are also two picnic tables, and there is a Clivus toilet. The point is a popular area for paragliding and hang gliding who use the peak as a launch point. You may see a paraglider landing on the point if you are lucky!

Take I-90 E to exit 17. Turn right onto Front St. (becomes Issaquah-Hobart Rd.). In 1.5 miles turn left onto 2nd Ave. Immediately on the right is a small gravel parking lot that is the trailhead.

Got out early and parked at the Highschool about 7:45am. Only a few cars and a few hikers out there. Good workout and be prepared to get a little muddy in spots about 2/3 of the way up. Great view from the top today.

It is a nice trail, good view. Well maintained. Lots of masks and abandoned bags of dog crap on the trail.

Well kept and just work out I needed. Unfortunately so many people without masks, I understand that we are outside and I don’t always wear then but this trail is tight and no possible way to social distance. Please Where a mask.

VERY busy on a Wednesday morning. Parking lot full. Nice hike though. Although cloudy, it was still a pretty view at the top

Trail was in great condition Monday 11/9. The first bridge was that was last reported damaged has been replaced with a metal plank bridge. There was only one muddy section and I think you’d still be fine in running shoes although I was in hiking boots. I passed 10 people on the way up, 5 of which were in one group and about 5 on the way down. Everyone had masks and used them. On the way up I left it around my chin so I could easily pull it up when needed. Most people would carry it but when you saw each other you each stopped, got your mask on and moved on. Except for one RUDE older lady who rolled her eyes and shook her head at me, clearly in response to me putting on my mask. Defying all the signs that ask you to put on your mask when passing others.

nice...but VERY crowded on Sun 11/8. And a heads up: only like 60% of people were wearing (or putting up) masks for people passing.

The leaves falling, simply beautiful. However, at the same time, a bit slick and treacherous

Few people on the way up and no one on the way down (likely due to the time and date we went). If people didn’t have masks, they were considerate. Beautiful hike and not too difficult(2 hours up and 1 hour down).

Not too many people for a hike off I-90! Most everyone was masked and friendly.

What a leg burner hike. Beautiful hike for sure! You think its all flat and easy , but after about 1-2mile. This is where the leg burner started. Long for sure, not crowded which is i like most. Peaceful. Need a little bigger parking though since we Park on a tiny space .

Beautiful hike today, a lot of paragliders out! A little muddy and mostly uphill but definitely worth it on a sunny day.

The first mile is very steep and should only be for advanced hikers. The amount of people on this trail during a Saturday was insane. The trail up the side of the mountain is very narrow with no where to move to allow for people to pass. I never had moments of silence because there were so many people.
