There was a moose at the beginning of the trail, which was great! Other than that, there was nothing too interesting about this trail.

Very easy trail, kind of easy to get off the path though. We took our dog who came home covered in ticks, and he wasn’t even in tall grass!

Gorgeous walk. Lots of wildlife to see. Note: during covid-19 the gate is closed. It is an additional 1.5 mile (gravel road) walk each way.

Went on Saturday afternoon and it was a beautiful sunny day. Very peaceful, not many people. Trumpeter swans, ducks and geese were plenty. Close to the Winslow pond we encountered a very large porcupine lumbering along. No ticks visible at this time of year.

Lovely day hiking around here- did this and part of 2 of the other trails (Stubble & the one that goes to the shop) at the start of my day/before doing the auto tour and some of those shorter hikes.

TICKS!!!!!!! 30 minutes in, we spotted one on the blonde dog. Checked all three dogs and found over 20!!! They were all on leash and only brushed through tall grass at the very edge of the paved trail. Great walk for us, very beautiful. Keep your dogs 100% on the trail or consider leaving them home.

Super easy paved trail with lots of wildlife viewing...particularly geese, ducks, and birds. This trail is pretty flat and would be great for little ones, elderly, or less athletic people. You will have to dodge quite a bit of goose poop on the trail, but it's worth it. It really is a birders paradise, and there are even viewing scopes at the start of the trail.

One of the most scenic walks in Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge. Plenty of waterfowl to see. The entire trail around the lake is paved except for the spur to the viewing hut.

Some parts of the path had water over it, 4-1-2017. We saw ducks, birds and a goose landed in the water. It's a very easy walk for all ages, young and old.

Pine Lakes Loop Trail is a paved trail all of the way around. It is by far one of the best maintained trails I have been on all year. There is parking and a restroom at the trail head. There are many lovely wetland views. You will likely see some water fowl, and if lucky a moose or two.
