Did this just before the road up to the top was closed (October 3) - was so much fun to do it in the colder weather.

Amazing beauty. Very short hike but one of the most picturesque places I’ve seen!

Lake is a lot smaller than I initially thought, great views of Shuksan on a clear day. Not much of a hike, but it's paved and easily accessible. Worth checking out for the views alone.

Great path! Super small and easy for along the way. Be prepared for mosquitoes.

Amazing views, but would be even better if the cars weren't allowed to park right where the best view is!

Such a beautiful place, very worth the drive! The views are breathtaking, even with a two year old it was great!

Not really a hike. Easy walk around a lake. Very relaxing. Definitely worth a quick stop if you’re in the area. BEAUTIFUL picturesque views are worth it.

Super short and accessible trail. You can park on the side of the road and make the trip around the lake in about 10 minutes! Fully paved, and there’s benches to sit at the good view points. Just be sure not to step off the pavement, as the landscape is fragile and still healing.

Simple hike on a paved paths. As of 08/13/2018 the area is very smokey and you won’t be able to see many mountains.

If you're in the area, go! Walk around the path and take in the amazing views of Mt. Shuksan over the lake.

so many amazing and beautiful views from such a simple location. It's short enough that you can spend your time actually exploring and looking around without being pressured for time. So many little Treasures, can't wait to see it in the fall!

All 17 of us enjoyed it...even the ones who can't hike. Absolutely 'Picture' perfect!

A great easy walk around Picture Lake. Perfect for families or people who aren't up for a full hike in the Mt Baker Wilderness. It is also a nice little warm up if you want to take in the scenery before heading up off the beaten path. This is a very nice late afternoon walk.

Easy! A must do area if you want the classic shot of Mt. Shuksan!

Short but sweet, this paved and board-walked loop around Picture Lake is a nice place to take it all in. "The classic alpine vista of Mt. Shuksan mirrored in Picture Lake is one of the most photographed mountain scenes in North America." There are interpretive signs and a view scope during the summer. This, Bagley Lakes Fire and Ice, and the trails at the top of the ridge at Artist Point are worth the 58 miles/1 hr 20 min) to end of Hwy 542. (Glacier to Bellingham is 34 miles, and then from Glacier climbs 24 miles/1hr to 5,100 feet at Artist Point in Heather Meadows). Highly recommend a visit! (Do check the weather and access first).
