We saw a mountain lion on the trail on 11/21 so be careful with pets and small children.

Thanks to my dear hiking friend and her GPS, we didn’t go off trail too many times. Signs are a little confusing but fun adventure with beautiful fall leaves on ground.

I am always thankful to Alltrails maps that not only navigate me through many trail options but today it helped me guide 2 women with 6 children and a dog back to the parking lot as they were walking in the opposite direction. The trail was super narrow in some spots and a bit muddy, of course but I love all the moss and the smell of earth. Somehow we lucked out and no rain!

Absolutely love this place! I would say it’s more Easy than Moderate but it’s really pretty trees and whatnot. Perfect for kiddos.

Pleasant easy walk on well maintained trail. Traffic was light today. Lots of trail junctions; map was helpful.

Who does trail maintenance for this park? I live nearby and am interested to help maintain the trails.

Whispering Firs trail is hiker only, narrow & windy (in a good way) but a short loop. The other trails have Mtn Bikers which requires constant attention & getting out of the way if you’re walking. A nice Mtn Bike trek to be sure but the mix on such narrow trails somewhat compromises the experience for both kinds of users.
