Awesome trail. Any more snow and would have had to turn back, without snowshoes or gaiters. Wasn’t able to make it to sprite, but the top of Pass. Already can’t wait to go back. Easy hike with lots of reward! Awesome views of the cradle, cathedral/ Daniels, and also down the Cle Elum river valley/ with nice view of Hawkins!

10/24/19 Great hike! Lots of snow about 2 miles in. Poles were very helpful. Lower section of the trail is very rocky, almost like a creek bed. If you go this time of year expect mud and flowing water on the trail. Trail is a bit over grown in places and a few trees are down but it’s manageable. Can’t wait to go again in a different season for a new experience!

What a beautiful hike! Elevation was no joke. Trail was in good condition. No water sources so bring plenty of water. Tons of bees around. I am pretty put of shape but was still able to do it! Happy Hiking!

This hike seemed easier to me than other hikes rated hard or moderate. The grades are not nearly as steep as I expected. A bit overgrown in spots, but overall a tremendous hike. I don’t know of a day hike where you can get views like this without backpacking. The lake is gorgeous. 360 views. A gem. (We had perfect weather and no goats.)

The trail doesn't look like it gets a lot of use, the first mile was pretty overgrown while the upper section follows a dry rocky creek bed up to the pass. From the pass there are great views of The Cradle to the east and Mt Daniel to the west and several exploring options to the north and south

Steady up hill to the pass, but well worth the views. Road is OK, made it to the trailhead with no problems in a 2005 Passat Wagon TDI.

One of our favorite hikes --- be careful of the local mountain goats though, a little too friendly. Long haul with a backpack, but completely worth it.
