Great hike for a family with Great views, small lake, plenty of benches on the trail and a beautiful river. Not super long.

Wonderful family-friendly hike with gorgeous foliage and lake views. Trail is well-groomed with several benches throughout for rests if needed.

Trial was in great shape. If you have anyone who has getting into hiking, I suggest going counter clockwise in the loop. Otherwise you will end with a mild incline that can be just a bit rough. I highly recommend this as an easy fun hike. Great family hike.

This is an easy, well-maintained, smooth trail that circles an oxbow lake along the Middle Fork of the Snoqualmie River. Elevation change is minimal as you pass through relatively young forests of cedar, birch, maple, and various firs. A side trail off the loop takes you to the edge of the river. The main trailhead is less than a quarter mile past the first parking spot you come to. That parking area has a toilet and adds about 0.4 miles to the hike. Lots of birds and riparian plant life. A nice, easy hike. Our 3.5 year old liked it and wasn’t particularly challenged by it. Would do it again with binoculars, perhaps in the fall.

Another perfect day. Took the pup out for a walk about and to clear our minds. The drive in was beautiful. We took this trail as all the others were quite busy. The side trail down to the river was cool, but the water was moving a bit fast to go too far out. Think “into the wild”. Will definitely come back and bring the family.

Both National Forest roads leading to the trailhead are closed — we came across the closure on NF-9010 and google maps stated there was a closure on NF-5600

So accessible! It’s an easy trail with incredible views. The trail is well maintained and quite gentle for children and people who aren’t up for a heavy trek. The river access wasn’t that great for a future swimming hole (I went there in the winter) but pretty vista. The first trail I tried after hearing that the road was paved and all the trails made. Can’t wait to go back and explore further!

No longer closed! Need discovery pass. Lovely easy, secluded fall hike.

I took a 6month old (in a jogging stroller) and had an almost 3 year old and 4 year old out walking the loop trail today. It was very easy for everyone I had to lift the stroller over a fallen tree and then up and down the stairs on the bridge but it was no biggie. Great place for kids to explore and fall in love with nature and hiking

Great little loop trail to do with small children. My grandson enjoyed looking for all the mushrooms. Well maintained and has a bathroom at the second parking lot. Parking here will give you a little extra to the trail and a spot with a sweeping view of the river and mountains.

Easy for everyone. We did this with a toddler with no problems. Scenery is beautiful! They have places to rest along the whole trail.
