Perfect little trail for families. Short but nice, ocean views, lighthouse, a place to sit and take in the view and a little walk in the woods. We have done this hike many times with our toddlers and only once has part of the path been muddy. Check renovations though if you are hoping to get close to the lighthouse.

Shares a trailhead with bell’s overlook, which is a cool walk. Look for the watertower in the woods and check out the bunkers

Beautiful easy hike. At the beginning of hike the trail was a little muddy, but not too bad. A little overcast, and that made the experience all the more enchanting.

Why is this rated moderate? Less than a mile and 100feet climb!

Easy hike with children ages 9 and older. Were able to do the lighthouse tour and visit the gift shop. Very enjoyable and would recommend!

Beautiful hike going up, and a nice view at the top. Unfortunately you cannot go inside, so that was a bummer. Still worth the climb, though.

This is a muddy and wonderful trail. A lot of it is in need of repair. If you are looking for a leisure, easy walk this is not it. Which is probably why I liked it so much. A lot of salamanders. My wife and I got soaked in April showers on this hike and loved every minute of it. Both ends of the trail are in great shape and there is evidence of a lot of trail work going on. In between though is a different story, the trail is tore up.
