This trail is not really worth it as a whole so to speak, you can chop off like 6 miles worth of travel and just start at the bridge and go to the summit and back. The remainder of the trail isn't particularly noteworthy. If you do want more travel time, the perimeter trail isn't bad either, you are near the water the whole time bust most of the time your view is obstructed mostly.

it's about an hour hike. it is uphill and down hill but manageable. I would say it's a medium difficulty hike. beautiful though would really recommend

the trail is easy and open, social distancing possible, though you may need to wait on narrow sections. one rockfall obscures part of the trail, but is easy to navigate. the beach was active, with people fishing. watched a seal working the channel, as well as several pigeon guillemots fishing. not too crowded at 9 AM, but the parking lot was crazed by 10.

North beach. We walked the beach to the end then got on the trail and took that back. Beautiful views both from the beach and above. Beach added an extra workout. We ate lunch at Cranberry Lake and then headed back to Deception Pass Bridge area.

Came on a Sunday. We originally planned on arriving around 7:30am but got delayed for a few different reasons and arrived at 11 instead. The parking lot at the trailhead had plenty of spots and still did when we wrapped up. This seems to be the less crowded side of the park right now. Overall an enjoyable trail. We went around the loop and then up the hill to the summit and in retrospect doing the summit first would have been a lot easier. From a social distancing perspective it’s not too crowded on the trail and I think things would have been even better if we had arrived earlier. There is a bottleneck and a lot of people on the trail heading up to the bridge and not much of a way to get six feet away... otherwise we only passed fellow hikers occasionally.

Great hike! They had a closed sign in front of the trail, but I went anyway. There was only one spot that had a Little Rock slide. A little muddy too. But other than that it was great and beautiful. The beach is an amazing place and great for rockhounding.

Adjacent to the North Beach trail is the beach. So beautiful. No bugs. If you go in the spring or fall there are no people. You get the beach to yourself:)

*beautiful, not heavily traveled trail. *tied this hike in with west beach hike and , of course, the bridge walk....so maybe just under 6 miles. But, again, really lovely vistas, so worth the trek.

*beautiful, not heavily traveled trail. *start high, go low, then climb out. *lovely views at the halfway point of tiny town cornet.....then awesome views at the summit of goose rock. *tied this hike in with west beach hike and , of course, the bridge walk....so maybe just under 6 miles. But, again, really lovely vistas, so worth the trek.

It’s a great and gorgeous trail- would definitely hike it again. It does get a little confusing while navigating (not well marked with signs) but if you watch the map and pay attention all will be just fine! Bring a camera the bridge and highest point view is beautiful!

Nice and easy. The free air show was a bonus but it ruined the tranquil sound of the water crashing on the rocks. Don't skip the view from the bridge, it was amazing. If you're patient you will spot a handful of sea lions hunting.

Nice trail, pretty easy to navigate... I'd imagine it might be a bit tricky in the rain. Overall, easy & enjoyable trail.

Deception Pass State Park has got to be one of my all-time favorite places visit year 'round. The bridge itself offers gorgeous views of Fidalgo Island and the vast ocean front. This would be the first time I actually stopped and hiked down to the sand dunes and other areas of the park. The beach front doesn't offer much except peace of mind and beautiful views of the ocean. You're surrounded by high mountainous rock, alpine forest and many varieties of sea birds and various other wildlife. This is a great place to come to and relax, reflect on life and just enjoy your time outdoors. During low tide there are tide pools in the rocks and you can observe sea life if you're lucky. I absolutely love it down here and encourage anyone to hike down to the ocean front if you're coming to see the bridge.
