Loved this hike. Beautiful scenery throughout. Only a few steep sections but overall pretty easy.
Great trail, dry, easy to follow, not too cold today, so pretty.
just had a big wind storm so there were a lot of fallen trees, which made for great adventure. would love to go to the beach there during the summer.
Beautiful hike along the coast. Easy hike for all ages. Great with dogs. Easy parking. Bathroom on beach by parking lot open. Some mud, rocks, sand. Beautiful hike!!
Saw nine otters! Doesn't get much better than that. This is one I'll do again. Great hike!
Hiked this on a pretty hot day week before last. But most of it is shaded, so it was perfect. Started at North Beach, parking at the amphitheater. The only part that was a bit challenging in the steep incline up to the overlook. But the views definitely make it worth it, so don’t skip it. Happy Hiking! Enjoy :)
A gorgeous trail. Drier on the South side of the Perimeter Trail. Lovely views of many coves and sailing boats. Mileage was more like 4.4 miles.
Wear a mask. Narrow trail with limited pass points. Some of the trail is dry and dusty, but most is lush. Views are great. Get here early (before 12) to avoid a parking jam
I am amazed at how clean the trail is even after being hit hard on the 4th. Way to go fellow hikers! We can all keep enjoying this pristine wilderness. Here’s a very basic list of etiquette I like to pass on to so we can educate those just starting out: Stay on the trail. ... Leave no trace. ... Be mindful of your dogs. ... Leave the music at home. ... Obey trail closures.
first mile or so of this hike has very low elevation gain. once you get to the switchbacks the hike becomes a lot more challenging. still pretty easy, manageable for older people and children 5+. very rewarding view at the peak! 4/5 because the trail is split by parking lots and roads in the first mile.
Wonderful trail! Pretty easy to stay six feet apart. Not many people early on Sunday
