The upper beach between the base of the bluff and the high tide line is quite narrow.

This is a nice short trail but it is very narrow and steep in places. You can get to the beach by taking the paved path down and back and avoiding the difficult part, or make it more challenging by taking other trail. Nice picnic areas at the top and a beach at the end.

it was definitely a nice walk with beautiful scenery. I went counter clockwise because I didn't want to climb back up, definitely suggest it. nice strip of beach with private property on both sides. ended up having a nice conversation with a gentleman on the way back up.

The views of the beach and Mount Rainier are breathtaking on a clear day. Lots of dogs around. Some moderate inclines but was a great hike.

This trail may easy for anyone who wants to go for a walk with other adults or older children. This trail is difficult for anyone who desires to trail run or anything besides a leisurely stroll. There are two ways you experience this trail which is either steep grade downhill or steep grade uphill. I walked 90% of this and it was still difficult… I was passing several people that were on a leisure stroll with their families because they were having a difficult time walking up hills. Most of the trail is very narrow so if it’s busy, you will have to wait behind others or sidestep them.

Lots of yummy blackberries, views of the marina, and a lil rocky beach access to the sound!

Nice short scenic walk, easy as described. Walk to beach super easy, but walk back up to parking is steep. There are strategically placed benches in case you need to rest for a sec.

If it wasn’t for the planes overhead I would have forgotten I was still in Seattle. This short trail was a blessing after a rough day at work. I practically had the whole trail to myself. The beach is gorgeous with its rocky sand that you can walk barefoot in and crystal clear water. What more can you ask for? I sat down on a smooth as butter piece of drift wood, read my book, and watched the boats slowly go by. I’d definitely recommend. Would be a great trail for kids and doggos! Definitely going to bring my little nuggets next time.

Very limited parking but nice walk down. Beware, going down hill means you gotta go back up. This is a good trail to take your dog.

enjoyed with a 3 year old....going down was easy and went the paved path....on the way back, went slow and stopped at each bench to eat something from our lunch, then ended up taking the primitive trail part way up which was much more fun and easy for the 3 year old. a fun morning !!!

Great little trail. Signage once on the beach suggests private property I. both directs so wander at your own risk. All and all fun Saturday morning adventure. Took my time taking pictures and goofing around and was there and back in and hour and half.

Great short hike. Quick getaway from the city. Pretty easy with steep stairs going down and incline going up. As another reviewer said, although it’s short/easy, you’ll still get a workout going back up. There’s a paved route and dirt trail route. The dog and I had a nice short adventure. Pretty views and photo ops. A bit muddy and slick this time of year (Feb). Worth a quick jaunt.

Great little hike. just as other reviews, steep coming back up. Still quite a bit of snow, so be careful.

Nice trail, can do most of it off of paved trail. Trails are marked “primitive” but we found them to be anything but. Off leash allowed for dogs under voice control.

I loved this trail down to the water. Perfect for a quick little walk.

What a gorgeous hike, we loved it! Going back up was pretty hard though, over 100 stairs and steep, felt like a never ending road to get back to the car.

A little steep but worth the hike!
