This is a fun family hiking trail with just a couple of short hills. There are a couple of view points on an otherwise wooded trail. Great for just a walk in the woods. The trail was in great shape with just a bit of brush encroaching in a few places. Bugs weren’t bad hiking mid morning.

Three generation family hiking trip with the youngest being 5. Some muddy spots and quite a few puddles across the trail and even a couple spots with running water flowing across the trail, had waterproof hiking boots and it was great. Some nice viewpoints and it was nice to hear the running water nearby. Enjoyed my time in nature!

I hiked both the Mud Mountain rim trail and also the river trail down to the river. The river trail is really just a road near the end of the rim trail that leads down to the mud flats along the banks of the White River. The views of the White River from the rim trail are limited, if you are going to hike this it's much more interesting to hike down the road to the river itself. There you will find some massive collections of jetsam captured by massive floating steel tubes chained together. This must be fascinating to see when the White River is in flood stage.

Rim trail has beautiful views of the White River. Nice shaded woodland trail.

It was alright! Good, brisk walk through the trail! I had my kids with me and was hoping the trail offered more in the way of views to keep them engaged and excited about going out hiking!

Flat, no views, good for a brisk walk

I dog and I hiked this today along with the White River trail. As other reviewers noted, it is overgrown in many areas. I recommend long sleeves and long pants as there are thorny bushes along the trail. It was a nice hike as long as you don't mind a narrow trail.

As others said, trail was overgrown in areas and not overly scenic, but a nice hike with the dog.

some great views of the river, somewhat overgrown

About 2.5 miles in the trail is quite overgrown. Needs some Trail love.

Nice, easy hike. Amazing number and variety of mushrooms.

Cool find for not knowing the dam was there. If you drive in to the park and hike from there it's only a 5 minute hike. But has a spray park for the kids.

Nice through the woods but not much scenery. Still, a good way to spend a morning.

Monday, July 04, 2016

Trail was closed today due to some down trees! Beautiful views though, will definitely go back to hike the trail!

Beautiful views nice hike not too easy not too hard! We had a great day, both times I've gone!

Saturday, May 28, 2016

Beautiful views and great hike for kids! The entrance to the trail is near the playground. The hike was about 2 miles long. When we came to the end there was a sign to hike along River Trail which is definitely worth the extra mile walk. The view is amazing! Round trip was close to 6 miles.

fun natural trail

Thursday, March 31, 2016

A nice scenic hike that follows the White river. While not very challenging, it provides nice views into the valley and some beautiful forested areas. A few downed trees were across the trail, but I am sure they will be moved soon. Trail is well maintained.

A great exercise hike.

Friday, July 31, 2015

Do this one for the exercise, not the views. I can't really say this qualifies as a hike, more on the order of a nature walk. Not much elevation gain. Lots of shade/cover and pretty green. At the end/turnaround you can continue down a service road (to the right) to get to the White River. Lots of trucks and equipment and work going on, on a weekday. Not terribly peaceful :)). Oh well, it's close to the Enumclaw/Buckley area. Oh, and watch out for those spider webs across the trail if you are first on. :))
