Amazing views of Lake Cushman from top, but very steep going up and down. Great work out, a little slick from the rain on the rocks. A little muddy in spots.

Absolutely working out in the woods, keep climbing all the way up there, when you make it to the top, the view is stunning! It is almost around 9.5 miles from my reading.

Clouds and overcast rolled in all day. Other than that it was an awesome hike. Definitely feeling it in the feet the next day.

Very cloudy today, got soaked from the dripping trees, and no views. However, also, no bugs! Not a one.

Beautiful trail! As other hikers have noted, it’s an incline from start to peak. There are sections on the summit loop where the brush has grown very close to the trails and was being visited by very busy bees. The trail is a little confusing at the top, but we easily found it whenever we got off course. Low fog covered any vista views from the peak, but I can imagine it’s very beautiful on a clear day. There was a pair of very friendly gray jays and their fledged chick at the summit.

Gorgeous trail! Steep as hell but beautiful. Bugs were no joke today. They just laughed at our bug spray. The road to the TH was great. The trail was super maintained. Side note, there is a bees nest at the tippy top of the trail.

Beautiful, sunny and not-too-hot day for a hike - second time I’ve climbed this one, last time was September 2017. Somebody stole the summit sign - but overall it’s a great climb. Not for the novice, and you’re not “in shape” if you walk 30 minutes a day - this is a climb, 4.5 hours overall. Take a swim in Lake Cushman after - great way to wash off the sweat. Paths are clear mostly, only a few spots where you wonder for a second. My fitness app GPS had it at 6.52 miles.

Incline all the way up! My GPS clocked in at 8 miles. But the views are worth it at the end. Around mid-way up, you’ll come across a small fork in the trail. This is not the fork that takes you to the summit loop. Keeping going another mile or so, and you’ll come upon a bigger fork and a sign mounted to a tree that reads “<— Summit Loop —>” enjoy!

Trail is steep. Went on a cloudy day, so no views. Had the whole trail to ourselves most of the time and finding parking at the trailhead wasn’t difficult. Roads are in good condition.

This hike was definitely a cardio workout! The climb felt quite lengthy, and the view at the top was obstructed by the clouds when we arrived. Fortunately, the clouds cleared up by the time we finished lunch and it was breathtaking! It was almost terrifying how high above the ground we were and how far we could see. We only passed a couple other people (including one super loud group), so it was nice and peaceful. The rest of the loop past the view is a little more overgrown but still easy to find and hike and has lots of beautiful wildflowers.

I was the only person on this trail on 6/29. It’s in great condition and no snow! My watch put it at closer to 9 miles. It’s a lollipop shaped trail and once you get to the summit loop you have about 3 miles left. Lots of slick spots so watch your foot placement. It’s dog friendly. It’s a must do for out here. Great views, a solid workout, and it’s dog friendly so it makes for a great hike!

Beautiful hike! We didn’t see many bugs and the trail was amazing! Highly recommend. It was actually 8 miles on my watch. The decent is a little hard on the legs due to the steep decline, but it was so worth it! I recommend you do it!!
