Hiked June 20 2020. Found the trail easily despite some snow, needed ice axe near the top. Very steep on the way down, had to go very slowly & downclimb. Easy & quick summit comapred to other peaks in the park.

We took Switchback Trail to Klahhane Trail our and back. Switchback isn’t Avery imaginative name, but it IS very descriptive! From the parking area on Hurricane Ridge Road to the top counted 32 switchbacks! Once at the top, Klahhane Trail was pleasantly rolling we ate lunch at a beautiful spot and then started back. Once at the bottom, our legs were pretty toasted. Very tough trail, but redeemed by the scenery. Great views of the Olympic Range, as well as Port Angeles and the Straits of San Juan de Fuca.
