Monte Cristo Trail is a 3.7 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Trout Lake, Washington that features a great forest setting and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, running, and mountain biking and is best used from June until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Directions from Willard: Travel north on County Route 18 for approximately seven miles to Forest Route 86. Follow 86 north to Forest Route 080. Take 080 northeast to the trailhead.

This trail guide is completely wrong. Use your GPS and type in the trail coordinates. It's about 10miles outside of town and you turn right. The trail head is 1 miles up the road from where you can park. The tree's are growing over the road pretty well so I wouldn't bring the vehicle up to the trail. Then...start going up...and up....and up. It's tough at first but the view and flowers are wellllllllllll worth it. Beautiful hike
