Directions from Marblemount: Drive southward on Cascade River Road 7 miles to the turn out for Monogram Lake Trail. Park your car and cross the road to the trailhead.

One of the best hikes I've ever been on. Bring a telescopic fishing pole!!! The fish attack anything that hits the water. Wish I had one at the time. (Fishing is open year round on monogram lake)

great hike! Hiked in there back in 09 with a couple of friends. The bears are thick up there, saw 9 that weekend!

Monogram Lake is a great hike with some outstanding views of the Cascades. Eat a good breakfast because you will need the energy. I hiked in by myself and nearly bumped into a bear. Wear a bell and be aware that bears like the blueberries that are all over the hill sides. the lake is awesome after the hike in.
