The trail starts and ends slow but the rest is a nice trail. The falls are pretty small but there was a bunch of moss. Trail conditions were good.

The falls were beautiful and flowing for April. Some muddy spots due to overnight rain. Nothing unmanageable. There was a huge fallen tree blocking the trail on the east side. After watching two riders on their horses trek up into the foliage to get around the tree, my friend and our two dogs followed and were able to pass it. About 50% of people on the trail wore a mask when passing. Bathrooms were clean. Plenty of parking. A great endurance hike!

Great trail, very well maintained and there are longer paths or shorter paths depending on what you want to do that day. Definitely should be marked as an easy trail, though.

it was a nice beautiful day. The Falls looked beautiful. The weather was amazing and people greeted us kindly as we encounter them. We saw wildlife, and insects along with the beautiful evergreen surroundings.

HikingGreat!

it was a very nice hike, the trails were in good shape and we did not step in very much mud. we saw a few hikers while we were out and about mostly towards the end of the hike later in the day. At this time we have not found any ticks on us. Our hike ended up being a total of 7.2 miles because one, we started at the lower lot and two, we also did the out and back to view the falls plus a little further.

03/27/21 Good hike if you just want to get out, but not looking for picturesque views. I started at 8am and didn't really run into folks until 10ish. Trails were clear and clearly marked :)

Saturday 2-27-21 Absolutely my new favorite trail running spot and hike! Can’t say enough positive things about the natural beauty of the trail, the signage/how well maintained it was, how polite everyone was, how clean the bathrooms are, everything.

Great trail! Loved when I got past the day use area and it was so quiet and peaceful up there. Not a soul in sight.

Trail is great for all levels. Lots of different terrain. Beautiful scenery. A little muddy but that’s to be expected after so much snow. There was still snow on the ground. The only draw back was the gun range nearby scared our dog. We will go again

I took a bit of a hiking hiatus over the holidays, so I was looking for something easy with no elevation. This hike fit perfectly. I went midweek at the beginning of February and it was not crowded at all. There was a little bit of mud, but very easy to navigate around. I took the Mima Falls East Trail to the Mima Falls West Trail to the actual falls. Make sure to find the little trail that takes you to the base of the falls. If you want to do the 6.6 mile loop route listed here, turn around at the falls and head back to the junction. Once you reach the junction again take the Mima Falls Tie trail to do the loop (or you can go back the way you came to do a shorter in and out hike.) The signs on the Tie trail will say campground. I’ve had friends do this hike in the summer and they weren’t very impressed. I would highly recommend to do this hike in the late winter/early spring to see the falls flowing at it’s peak and to see the wetlands at it’s highest. Plus, the greenery with all of the moss and ferns was mesmerizing. This was a pleasant and easy hike to help ease back into the swing of things for me. You will need a discover pass here and the bathrooms were open. Happy Trails!

It wasn’t clear that I had to hike down to the Falls once I was at the day use area but it wasn’t that difficult to figure out either. Beautiful falls overall, nice trail

This is a nice hike! What the trail lacks in elevation gain can be made up in length, there are many options to shorten or extend your trip. The trails are well marked and maintained. The falls were pretty, nothing spectacular, but nice enough. I did not notice any garbage or dog poo on the trail. There was plenty of evidence of horses that was easy to get around. Lots of mud today, but its January, so no complaints here. This would be a nice run, if you're into that kind of thing (I am!)

Beautiful out! Although the parking lot was full, I only saw a couple guys who passed me. Trail was easy to follow and hardly any mud. Fun!!!

Tons of ice hair which was awesome! We did the loop with our 4 year old. It came out to 7 miles by the time we finished. Took 4 hours with the little legs and a lunch break at the water falls!
