Lots of good dogs! Scenic trail and uphill is just enough for a little cardio.

I really enjoyed this trail. I had no idea it was so close in the middle of a neighborhood. It was pretty crowded on a Wednesday afternoon. Nice trip down to the beach (will take a blanket and lunch next time), and the trip back up was definitely uphill. Beautiful forest and stream that runs along the trail. According to my tracking, this was a little closer to 3 miles. Will make this a regular trek.

I would recommend this trail to anyone looking for a dog friendly trail. There’s a lot of foot traffic and before the beach there’s a fork in the trail leading to it from either the left or right. The tunnel for the beach is short so be prepared to duck! The beach is huge, has soft sand, and the view is worth the muddy terrain.

Great trail- was all downhill on the way, and quite the trek uphill afterwards , especially with a 5 and 6 year old. Beach was 100% worth it though , would definitely go again. Parking lot was full at 11am on a Sunday , but found nearby parking on side streets.

Fun trail through the forest to the beach. Kid and dog friendly. We got there around 11:45 on a Friday, and the parking lot was full with waiting cars. We ended up parking on a residential street off of 56th. I probably could have parked a tad closer, but I didn’t want to keep searching.

Not as bad as some people have said! I don’t really hike much at all and the incline at the end isn’t terrible, just steps!

Love this hike, it’s downhill the entire way so keep in mind the incline coming back. Beautiful, shady, fresh air.

Really enjoy this hike and have completed it 3 times with kids and my 4&7 yr old love to throw rocks into the sound once they hit the beach Can be busy on weekends

Arrived at 3:15pm on Friday 5/22, parking lot mostly full but got lucky with a spot. Trail was busy, saw about 15 parties each way, plus several more down at the beach. Still easy to maintain social distance due to the width of the trail.

This is a GREAT trail to explore! Long decline through plush woods that leads to the beach. Of course you have the long incline on the way back - so come expecting that. Plenty of benches on the path & at the beach there are picnic tables and lots of room to roam up and down the beach. As you come back on the trail - bear to the right and there is a big grassy area with bathrooms, picnic tables and a volleyball net too! If you have any books you’d like to donate, there’s a box for leave a book/take a book. Will definitely plan on coming back to this trail soon!

I’d classify this trail as moderate. A good portion of it is down hill or up on the way back. There’s a little creek(s) along the way to the beach which is nice. Just be prepared for the uphill climb. It’s a bit steep. On a scale from 1-10 when it comes to how skilled of a hiker I am I’d put myself at a good 5. I have some physical limitations but it’s definitely doable. The trail has many benches scattered about so if you need to take a break you can.

Great trail , really easy on the way down, about solid incline on the way up but nothing too hard

Pretty easy for the most part. There is a short, challenging stretch of the trail at the very start of it (moderately steep going down, obviously up hill on the way back out). Very pretty with lots of trees, flowers, and greenery.

Nice leisurely down hill walk, great views and access to a great beach at the bottom. Coming back up can be a bit of a challenge, but overall a great path.

Ihis is a go to favorite of mine, specially during lockdown. Great for social distancing, very therapeutic, fresh air. Can be good for trail running, coming back up can be a challenge. Gorgeous view of the beach, picnic tables on the left. Perfect view of the sunset

Beautiful, quick, easy trail leading to the beach. Great if you’re short on time or just need to get a healthy dose of healing nature.

I’m sure the trail is really good, but I just wanted to report how busy it is! No trail head parking and cars lined up and down the nearby roads. I don’t know how social distancing will be followed down the trail because I saw just a whopping ton of people. Just like other parks across the nation this one might be shut down too because of the crowds. 1400 on Thursday May 7.

It’s a nice hike, but over the 2.2 miles. We followed the only and main path down and it was 3 miles round trip. My boys have done some good hikes, but this one got them. It’s all downhill, so coming back is all uphill. Parking took a bit because the main gate is locked, but it was worth it.

nice little trail with a few small creeks. parking is closed because the county doesn't want people getting exercise like were allowed. However, that being said. plenty of people walked around the gate and respectful of personal space. Snohomish county park ranger was parked by the gate ticketing cars illegally parked and allowing walkers in.
