The McLane School Trail is paved all the way through. The easiest way to begin it is by starting at the trail's southern end, by McLane Elementary. Follow the paved path up and over the nearby bridge and into the woods. The trail is very easy and can be knocked out in an hour and a half or less. Beware that part of it runs right by and even crosses the road, so please keep kids and dogs in mind.

Great trail, paved the whole way. Lots of people, lots of dogs, most were off leash but friendly. Good for all levels.

This trail is a great for biking, walking, running, etc. The whole trail is paved and well kept. Lots of trees to provide shade during warm summer days. If you start from the school you do have to cross at a highway entrance and go up and over on the bridge on the paved trail. Once you come down the other side you have to cross the street once more and enter at the trail head. Nice mild incline through out the trail. Did this as a family with our nine year old daughter who also seemed to enjoy it.

Nice paved trail. You have to cross over a bridge over the road, lots of traffic noise for pretty much the whole trail. Overall I would say it's a good trail for baby strollers and things like that. A good trail for a little after work exercise.

My daughter and I were excited to bike near the water but this route has no water views like shown in the photos. The path is nicely paved but is not a loop like described. If you start at the head of the trail, you must use an overpass on Evergreen Parkway to get to the other part of the trail. We think this trail would be more interesting when it's a bit more wet as most of the ponds and bogs were dry. McLane School has done a nice job of labeling areas and critters of interest.
