Marymoor Connector Trail was boring, but the part along the water was absolutely lovely and shaded. Lots of variety from fields to paved bike path to woodsy trails on the edge of the water - great time for my dog. The trail cuts through the dog off-leash area, which is great with a dog, but something to be aware of for anyone who isn't crazy about dogs. Heads up to other dog owners still working on recall - this is not the off-leash area for you! It's completely unfenced and open to the rest of the park. I had to keep my dog on-leash otherwise there was no way I would get him back. If your dog has strong recall, this would be a total treat for them - lots of woods and fields, and a good group of well-behaved large dogs.

Best part of the trail was through the bird section - open fields and shaded woods filled with birds and their associated calls. Great water views and access. Well-used but not crowded.

Beautiful view of Rainier! Easy ride to connect over to east Lake Sammamish bike path, which will give you better view of lake. Well maintained.

This park pretty much has it all. Dog friendly, lots of space, beautiful views and easily accessible. Great place to go to get outside if you don't have time for a hike or if you just want to picnic and relax.

The scenery is stunning. There are many types of birds to watch. My husband and I saw a few bald eagles by the lake and, when we were there in mid-May, blue herons were nesting in the trees. The dog park is huge! Parking is $1.

Not a trail but our favorite place to let our pup run free. This is an unbelievably gorgeous dog park complete with multiple fields, at least three river access points for dogs that love playing in the water and an on-leash bird watching trail. You can walk a ring around the whole dog park once or twice and feel like you did something. Totally flat so anyone can do it. It costs 1$ for the day to park. Take a picnic!

It's not really a trail. But it is the best dog park in or around Seattle. Always busy and lots for friendly dogs, with several different kinds of settings in one dog park. Great little areas for the dogs to swim too. Great dog park.
