Marymoor Connector Trail was boring, but the part along the water was absolutely lovely and shaded. Lots of variety from fields to paved bike path to woodsy trails on the edge of the water - great time for my dog. The trail cuts through the dog off-leash area, which is great with a dog, but something to be aware of for anyone who isn't crazy about dogs. Heads up to other dog owners still working on recall - this is not the off-leash area for you! It's completely unfenced and open to the rest of the park. I had to keep my dog on-leash otherwise there was no way I would get him back. If your dog has strong recall, this would be a total treat for them - lots of woods and fields, and a good group of well-behaved large dogs.

Best part of the trail was through the bird section - open fields and shaded woods filled with birds and their associated calls. Great water views and access. Well-used but not crowded.

Beautiful view of Rainier! Easy ride to connect over to east Lake Sammamish bike path, which will give you better view of lake. Well maintained.
