Amazing easy hike. Seeing the PNW on this trail will give you everything you need. Lush greenery and beautiful waterways. The actual waterfall is breathtaking. A lot of gusts and water droplets everywhere. Absolutely gorgeous. The beginning of the trial is relatively flat but eventually it goes into well maintained switchbacks. The switchbacks are nothing to fear, there are maybe 2 or 3 of them.

Short easy hike with a waterfall at the end. Waterfall was cool but nothing spectacular.

A really nice easy hike. The falls were awesome and the mossy forest was great.

Steep. Soo steep! It really doesn’t let up after 0.5 miles in. And the ropes are scary. There’s a little rocky cliff to cross to get to the summit but the views are incredible! Worth it for sure!

Easy hike. Busy. Touristy. Good for families. Any age can manage. Go early or expect high traffic. And PLEASE PLEASE DON’T bring your dogs. Rules are for a reason.

Good trail for families. Quick and easy. When you get to the "Fall Loop" sign, go left. the stairs are the top would be tricky for toddlers but older kids handle them fine. If you are in the area, I highly recommend heading down the road to Sol Duc Falls too!

Great little trail with a spectacular fall. Bonus is Lake Crescent is a beautiful teal green lake as you start off with the hike or finish. Beautiful lush greenery with a few muddy spots but not bad. There is a little bit of a hike when you hit the stairs. Just take your time because the view to the falls is amazing!

Did this back in mid January, just getting around to reviewing it now. Even after a huge storm dumping a bunch of snow, this was an easy trail to follow and complete. Well marked and flat until the walk up to the viewpoints, my boyfriend who doesn't hike was fine even in the snow. Seriously beautiful, and it was basically just us due to the storm. Not sure I would pick this trail on the more crowded summer days, but not a bad pick if you want something fast/the most bang for your buck.

Very quick hike. Worth it as you’re only passing through.

Easy little hike, pretty darn short though. I wouldn’t plan on this being your entire day’s activity if you’re driving out from Seattle/Tacoma/Olympia.

Fun trip in the early spring as the falls were still frozen. Trail up to the falls was easy going and wide with beautiful trees along the way. Climb up to falls is steep and a bit icy but doable for just about anyone. Stunning view from the top.

Great trail for a nice walk, well-maintained. Muddy spots after the rains last couple days, but the trail was in good shape. The falls were beautiful!

Super great time. Easy hike with some elevation gain, especially at the end. Great views of creek, falls, and rainforest.

Had the trail all to myself after the offshoot for Marymere falls! Had to turn around after a couple miles, made it past a landslide that had wiped out part of the trail but couldn't get around a tree that had fallen over a bridge. Probably best to wait until summer when they'll have a chance to get the trail cleaned up again.

Amazing easy hike. Seeing the PNW on this trail will give you everything you need. Lush greenery and beautiful waterways. The actual waterfall was breathtaking (literally) on 02/01/2020. It was like the Mist Trail in Yosemite when it’s at full force. A lot of gusts and water droplets everywhere. Absolutely gorgeous. 10/10 would recommend. The beginning of the trial is relatively flat but eventually it goes into well maintained switchbacks. The switchbacks are nothing to fear, there are maybe 2 or 3 of them.

Did this hike at the end of January, 2020. It was a gorgeous day, not a drop of rain and this easy hike to the waterfall added to an already perfect day. The views are wonderful, the forest is so pretty. 3.64 km or 2.26 miles.

A straightforward, low-impact hike up to some beautiful falls along Barnes Creek with a well-kept trail near Lake Crescent. We parked at the Storm King ranger station and made a loop out of the trail going past the Lake Crescent Lodge and through the Monuments in Time trail. There were a few downed trees and muddy patches which we made a bit more challenging for ourselves by doing right before sunrise so it was near dark and tricky to navigate back to our starting point but we eventually made it there. I look forward to returning and trying some of the other trail offshoots in the future!

i did this hike, two days ago on Wed, 01/29. One word to describe it, gorgeous. This hike, with the mossy trees and picturesque waterfalls, exemplifies the unique beauty of and why this area is designated as a Natl Park. Come prepared to be wet as you truly are in a rain forest.
