Louis Lake is a 9.5 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Twisp, Washington that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and bird watching and is best used from June until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

just when you think you've had enough, you are there. first 2 miles, easy. then you go up, trail is a bit rougher. at the top you will get to a stream (for us a river) with a log across. My balance isn't that great so We went through the ice cold water. Discovered if you just follow the stream upriver, there is an easier place to cross at the lake. No shoreline, just logs, logs, logs. Still very beautiful. A couple of nice camp spots.
