One could make a compelling argument that this is two trails wrapped into one. The first is plod along the rainforest floor, tracking the progress of the creek.

The second half is a blitz up to Hurricane Hill. Over the course of a perhaps two miles one climbs several thousand feet, out of the rainforest and into the alpine.

One could be forgiven for only choosing to do the first section of the trail, and simply driving up to the Hurricane Ridge road to the view point.
