Everything about this place screams: Golden Gate Bridge!! Expect it’s in Washington... so if you want to take the long way to Seattle go this way. Super high up and you can camp down below. Fun trails looping through it all.

Beautiful views over the water. Some parts were definitely challenging/adventurous - also because we lost the trail at some point, despite looking at the map frequently. Wouldn’t recommend for small kids because of the challenging steep/climbing bits. Our Sheltie dog was fine doing this trail, we did carry her over a couple steep bits.

HikingGreat!

We hiked this trail on Saturday morning with a group of 6. We avoided the top path and took the lower path, then came back through the middle. The trail is in good condition and features breathtaking views of the bay. We even saw a few seals swimming and playing in the water below. This trail is very, very worth it. The only minor disappointment is that the "lighthouse" is really just a square box with a LED light on the top. If you want to get closer to the lighthouse, you'll need to climb down from the trail (there is a rope) and then climb back up (also via rope) to the small island(?) patch of land which the lighthouse sits on.

Always a short and beautiful getaway. A few good spots to kick back, take your socks and shoes off, and hang in the grass. Not to mention a short rope climb to actually get onto Lighthouse Point. Note that the bottom of the rope is not secured, only the top, so you should be careful when climbing up.

Started out at Rosario head parking area which added a couple miles. The north loop at bowman bay got too hard at the very end of the loop but there was a trail taking you back to the cross island trail.

The trail had some beautiful views! It was pretty gradual incline the whole way. Loved seeing the bay and water during the hike. Definitely would recommend as a way to explore the state park.

Great trail with awesome views! A little bit steep in some parts which makes it difficult for dogs. I accidentally took a wrong path that looked like the trail but ended up being incredibly steep requiring serious scrambling and it led straight to the water. This section is marked on the map with a small dotted line and red square--beware.

This hike is really easy with really great payoffs, except for the northwest corner of the hike, which gets a fair bit harder, as it’s overgrown, requires some scrambling, and doesn’t have any trail markers. It’s a fun adventure, but the trail down the middle is probably a safer bet if you’re looking for something more casual.

So beautiful! Every turn is another amazing coastal view. Basically the whole hike has views. Most of the trail is really easy, except the very end at the North side of the loop where it's a bit overgrown and at a few points, have multiple paths which get confusing. For an easier hike, take the trail that cuts through the middle.

This is a long shot… I lost my wedding ring hiking the Lighthouse Point (outer) Loop on Friday, 05/22/20. I hope a kind soul finds it and returns it to me. The ring may have dropped in the northwest section of the trail - anywhere starting from a mini set of switchbacks to a part where the trail is washed out and there's a bit of scrambling afterwards. This area is also where you can take a wrong turn north and end up at a drop off. Anyway, I arrived in the parking lot of Bowman’s Bay around 11 AM on a Friday and it was 3/4ths full. We made our way through Lighthouse Point Loop going clockwise. There's plenty of space to sit down and enjoy the views without it feeling overcrowded. There are multiple small beaches with sketchy beach accesses, pathways to tucked away places, and killer views. Like how everyone else mentioned, once you hit the north/east side of the trail (to finish the loop), it can be difficult to navigate. The app **maps.me** was helpful in guiding us in the right way.

Got lost in northern part of the trail (loop). Super wet, very steep and unsafe. Avoid north loop and rest is fabulous!!

I attempted to do the hike in clockwise direction. Breathtaking views until the northern most point on the trail. And then on the way back, the trail(edge hugging Bowman bay) was barely visible and got lost like many others had mentioned. Steep drop, some frantic searching when it started to get dark, just about found the central trail heading back. Just do the southern loop and you would be fine. Doing that also reduces the hike distance by over three quarters of a mile. Basically avoid the edge sticking to Bowman Bay unless you have daylight and want some adventure. oh btw saw a huge seal swimming in these emerald Waters.

Overall great hike, went early and watched the sunrise. We avoided the north side after hearing that it was washed out. Had a great breakfast on the edge of the view on the east side. Not too long and very easy. Only downside was there was really bad signage.

Great trail with incredible views. It does show that there is a trail circling the entire rock, but came to a halt when the trail just dropped down into the water. Had to back track to hit the center trail. Besides that, it is a great place to get out for a short hike.

Really fun and visually rewarding hike. Only reason I’m giving 3 stars instead of 5 is because the west side of the trail is very poorly marked and caused us to get lost twice. Ended up on a sheer drop off into the water after scrambling a very steep incline. Be deliberate with your navigation and you will have a great time!
