Gorgeous trail, starts easy and then gets more difficult. Suspension bridge is closed. Be careful once you follow the trail past the suspension bridge as there is a lot more scree and the trail becomes narrower and steeper. The cliff is totally sheer.

gate is closed 4.5 miles from trailhead. Lots of people still hiking that way. your choice to add 9 miles to the hike or not.

Amazing trail and great views. It's a shame the suspension bridge is out, can't figure out why. Otherwise a great day out.

Beautiful and easy short walk, worth it even with though the bridge is closed just to see the canyon from a few different points of view.

We went on Saturday, 6/1/19. The suspension bridge was closed, which was a bummer, and the trail that splits of from this one at the bridge was also closed. Still a beautiful walk though!

Lovely hike! We did it in rainy conditions so there were a few tricky parts. The bridge was wicked fun! It was mostly paved. If you want an off-the-beaten trail, this one is not for you.

An absolutely gorgeous trail… One of my favorites in Washington state so far. I had my son so I just did the suspension bridge trail… But the beautiful thing about this was that there are other trails that are rated moderate through difficult. There were restroom facilities there, picnic benches, great sites, and friendly people. The only negative thing was that there were a ton of bees in the parking lot and picnic area. The suspension bridge was absolutely amazing and serene, the river below was incredible. Definitely going to go back again.

We hiked the Lava Canyon Loop and crossed the suspension bridge. It was beautiful. The bridge was a little scary looking down on the river, but totally worth it. A little bit of rock maneuvering at times, but worth it!
