Went up the dirt road to the Larch Mountain trailhead. Steep and a little rocky for a bike for my liking.

So the red on the map is actually just a logging road, very rocky if you have bad tires or low clearance. Not very good for hiking since it’s open to vehicles up to the turn. Some nice views after the gate, but sound of gunfire and lots of trash on road was disappointing. Maybe would come back up with a Mtn bike but would t recommend for a hike unless you just happen to be nearby. Mtn bike trails sound pretty well built out though. Also the trail doesn’t start where the red starts, it starts at that sharp turn halfway up where there is a parking lot and toilets.

Not a hiking trail. Bring your mountain bike. Also, I was there for about 5 minutes and got a parking ticket. Someone HAD to have followed me up there. Super creepy.

Not really a hiking trail maybe more for mtn biking. FYI trail head is about 1.5miles further up the mtn then what is listed on the app

This was a nice hike with some really beautiful views. We made the mistake of going in late February, so it was really icy at parts which made it challenging. Otherwise a great hike!

The logging road leading to trail head was closed off about 2 miles from the trail head. Look forward to making this hike in the future.

The river can be raging sometimes. Yes it seems very long and have found myself turning back some days depending on weather.

This is a loop and MUCH longer than indicated. This listing needs a better title.
