Very beautiful trail for all level ! It took me about 2h to complete it (low fitness level) and I took my time to stop for the views, take some photos and pet many dogs :) However it can be confusing and difficult if you don't have the map. There is only few markings and some roads got prioritized walkers/bikers. The hike isn't a 100% as shown in the map anymore, I had to improvise since a road became for bicycles only. But you won't get lost either with the map, just a small detour :) Overall one of my favourite hike at less than a hour from Portland !

This was a very enjoyable trail! A nice mix of gravel, dirt, and rocky trails. It was only a little muddy in some areas but it hasn’t rained much the last few days. We started at the lake and went counterclockwise around it and did the long part of the trail. The first part takes you over the dam and right next to the river for most of it. The waterfall was great, and some nice rapids along the way. The rest of the trail is mostly forest. Uphill for a little bit on the last part of it. Not too many people on a Wednesday!

Really nice, leisurely walk around a pretty lake. Did the first loop, about two miles, with dogs. The two mile loop around the lake is a wide path. Today (December 2019,) was minimally muddy. Gorgeous walk 30 minutes from Portland

Great trail but as others have said - it’s extremely confusing!!

Agree with many of the other reviewers that the trail is difficult to follow because of the sheer number of trails and a lot of unmarked intersections. The easternmost leg (Red Tape) is closed to foot traffic (bikes only).

Even though it’s super busy during the weekends during the summer with children and doggos, everyone is super respectful to both the trails and one another! I ran a random 7 miler, weaving in and out of both the large marked trails and offbeat paths and had a great opportunity to work on fancy footwork around peoples, rocks, and tree roots. You won’t get bored over here on these trails and there are benches to rest or stretch on if needed.

Beautiful trail especially near the waterfalls. Largely shaded. The beginning of the trail is heavily trafficked but the rest is not. Parts of this trail are hilly, rocky, muddy and/or with steep drop offs. Some trails are marked but many are not. Would wear hiking boots next time and would be wary of bringing my grandkids on parts of it. There is an unmarked restroom at one of the trailheads near the two picnic tables on the map. Also, the Far East part of the loop this app suggests is a one way only biking trail.

This was a great hike that was easy enough for someone out of shape like me, but still offered challenging sections. I used this map cause as people have said trails are not marked.

We loved this hike, beautiful views and waterfalls. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is because the trails were not well marked. Be sure to take your GPS.

Super easy hike but it can be somewhat of a challenge to navigate if you aren't already familiar with these trails. Bring your map as some of the signs are worn or damaged and may be difficult to read. It's hard to get too lost in this nature area as it's nestled right in the midst of Camas so there are people/houses all around the perimeter.

i really loved it there i love taking pictures their while hiking i sometimes even find random secret trail if you look closely you could find them and so much nature around it actually makes you feel like your in a forest

This is a beautiful lake and so many options for trails! Great family & dog friendly place! Tons of place to take pictures of different falls. The lake is beautiful for fishing or boating. Biking is great also! This park just allows for so many different actives so close to the city.

It was fun for the kids and to find other trails off the paved ones.

Not well marked so if you want to stay on the “easy” trail but you end up on the “moderate” trail w elevations. Also the trail is very rough so hiking shoes over basic walking shoes is best. Lovely area just wish it was better marked.

I come out here if I want something fun, easy and fast for my dog and I do to without driving too far. It’s good can be muddy which makes it fun. There are many views of waterfalls big and small throughout. I’ve noticed some people come out here to look for painted rocks as well has hiking.

This was a delightful walk with our dog. There was some elevation so we got a good walk in. It was lovely to see the lake as we circumvented it.

It was a pretty hike. Not hard at all, however, the trails are not marked very well. Nice easy day.

Great easy hikes around Round Lake. The main trail is easily identified as it is wide enough for a car and is well maintained gravel/mud combo. This takes several off-the-beaten-trails from the main path, so it is very easy to get lost if you are not familiar with the trail you are taking. If you don't want mud, wait a few days after rain to go. The southern most leg is marked for bike only, and the best alternate route is about a 1/4 mile shorter than advertised.
