The trail is is an old logging road. It's pleasant, with a comfortable, constant grade. It's overgrown in place, but there path is always clear. Toward the end, watch for orange ribbons to leave the road and take a narrow path to the first lake, then there second lake. We didn't go to the third lake. Nice views of Snoqualmie Pass and a quick sighting of Mt Rainier. The 1st lake is small, shallow but photogenic. There 2nd lake is bigger and very inviting.
