Hiking trip to explore the Elwah River trail. Went to Hume's Ranch and meadow after stopping by the Goblin Gates.

I wouldn’t say the whole hike is easy, but it’s definitely got variety! Plan a good chunk of time to take your time and experience/ explore!

road closed at Madison falls so could not get thru. Jan 2018. gave 5 stars since no other way to let others know.

Best trail I've done in a whike. easy enough to do in an afternoon if you are in the area, and lots of interesting and varying landscape. definitely make the slight diversion to the goblin gates (cut crudely into a sign at first fork of the trail, but go down to the right) it was a really cool area. some elevation but easy for any one with experience, and not a daunting session for some one a bit out of shape.

Ahhh... this is the most magical hike! I feel like this time of the year is perfect as well. It is seriously like a magical fairytale land in the forest. We had lunch in the meadow under the two giant trees. While eating a doe wandered up to us and said hello. I want to do this hike every weekend!

Whiskey Creek Rd is open again, the trail is muddy in bits but manageable!

Nice easy trail. If you don't mind narrow roads to the trailhead......Whiskey Bend Road is narrow so drive slow and take your time.

This was a great and easy day hike. If you keep going along the Dodger Point trail for a mile and a half or two past Hume's Ranch then you can make a stop at the scenic suspension bridge 1000 ft above the Elwah.
