One of the most stunning visual and visceral experiences - like a fantasy land
Great hike.... sunshine, rain, muddy trails with roots but well worth it.
Great trail. It was quite muddy because it’s March in Western Washington, but there were several places with enough standing water on the trail to make it more challenging. No bear siting and not too many people this time of year.
Muddy but nice. Not sure the full 3 miles to the waterfall is really worth it. But it’s a pretty walk through the rainforest
Very muddy! Lots of down trees and streams to cross with no bride
The trail is well marked and wild at the same time. In some parts of the trail, it got muddy. In other parts of the trail it was overran with a stream of water. possible to cross, but tricky. Then it got cold. Felt like freezing temperatures even with all our layers. (baselayer, fleece, puffy, rain shell, and accessories) But I also felt dry in the cold. Dressing in layers helped out a lot, as did waterproof boots and good, thick socks.
Great trail. Come prepared with water proof hiking boots if you come in December. I would do it again. and again.
Beautiful, easy trail with a cool waterfall. The trail was flooded and muddy in spots but was what I expected for a rain forest. I forgot to start my app so the mileage is about .5 miles short. So many possibilities for longer hiked and backpacking on this trail. I wish I had more time! Oh well, next time!!!
