The loose rocks and motorbikes on the trail made it not one of my favorite hikes. Some pretty views along the way.

The weather was great, the trail was moderately trafficked and clean. Lots of roots and loose rocks which make it a nice moderate hike. The view of the Olympic mountain range was totally worth it. We continued to vista trail and it was such a clear day we were able to see Seattle clearly.

Trail itself is decent, lots of rocks, little bit of mud. Lost a star for sheer quantity of people and another star for the motorized bikes that were loud and didn’t really care if you were in the trail. First lookout was gorgeous, Olympics are always impressive. Top lookout was less impressive, rusty fence, clear cutting, high wires. Overall, meh. The group I was with made it awesome though.

It’s beautiful but I can’t stand the motor bikes. The trail is way to small for them.

HikingGreat!

Hiked there on a weekday (03/23) with almost no crowd. The trail is in good condition even it’s shared with bike, motorcycle. The weather was good and we enjoyed the view of Seattle on the lookout.

well-marked and well-maintained, ascent was pretty mild. went on a gloomier weekday afternoon and didn't run into hardly anyone, let alone ATVs or motorbikes. the fog was very enchanting so I didn't mind missing a view from the top.

clear day so a few too many motor-bikes. but overall a nice trail and enjoyable hike.. even if we realized we'd done it before when we showed up!

HikingGreat!

One of my favorite hikes to do when you live in the Kitsap area. It is a bit challenging going up, but that means going back down is a breeze. There are so many side trails on this mountain that I never get tired of going back. There is always something new to see. Also the view at the top is totally worth it.

Well-maintained trails with a lot of greeneries. There are some mud pools which made me appreciative for wearing hiking boots. There’s a part where the trail is not clear/little bit washed-out (probably from the rain these past few days) and we almost got lost but found our way back. So if you want to avoid that area, take the trailhead right after hitting the parking area and not the one that’s close to the turn-around area. It’s an awesome clear day which gave us a great view of the Olympic Mountains at one part while reaching the summit will give you the view of the Cascades and Seattle. Overall, it’s a pretty nice hike.

2/20-went out and the weather was really great. trails were a little wet, not much snow on the trails but some on the ground. not too many people, I guess they believed the weather forecast.

Great trail, even with the snow, ice, and slush! There wasn't much of a view from the top due to clouds and heavy mist, but still a very enjoyable hike. Round trip it seems closer to 5 miles, rather than the 4.3 miles listed here. There are several trail crossings, but all very clearly marked. Stay safe out there!

Nice, easy hike. We took Plummer Trail until it converged with Gold Creek Trail and I’d recommend this path for a slightly longer and more scenic route. It was misty so we couldn’t see much, but the hike itself was fun. Pretty muddy at parts so I’d definitely recommend some waterproof hiking boots.

OHV/Off-road driving

This is a trail that’s not widely used but very rewarding. SUPER steep climb to a large rock face that you have to navigate around. Once to the top you follow a narrow trail through heavy forest and eventually start heading down a steep power line access trail that connects back to holy reek trail.
