Green Giant Buttress is served by an approach route that starts out on the logging road in Copper Creek, the west fork of Clear Creek about five or six miles from the mountain highway. Near the end of an old logging road that has been growing back in for 30 years the route drops to an old mining rode that continues up the valley past the old mining camp and the route gives way to rocks an brush.

There is an old mine on the hillside up and left past the forks in Copper Creek and the famous rock climb, Dreamer, lies up and right.
