Fantastic hike. Great views, easy parts combined with some nice, but strenuous uphills. Loved it!

The hike itself was gorgeous! Short, sweet, and beautiful views, and puppy approved.. Some of the switch backs were pretty dusty and loose from lack of rain but we managed. We admired a couple seals while eating a snack along the perimeter trail. My only complaint would be trying to find a parking spot among the hordes of people and cars admiring the views from the bridge.

Good hike around the perimeter And through the park.

Easy trail that our pup enjoyed. We did a bit of the perimeter trail then took the SW trail up to the summit. That part definitely deserves the moderate tag. We only saw 1 other couple on Friday before Memorial Day Weekend.

This trail was perfect! It may have been because Wifey and I went on a Tuesday morning (no crowds at a typically busy weekend spot) and it was nearly 70 degrees (though, chilly at the start and near the water), but I think it was more due to the trail itself — it had everything! It gave us incredible views, beautiful woods, stunning wildflowers, and a sweaty elevation gain...what else could you ask for?! Oh, and my PB&J was dynamite...

This trail was great! You got a little bit of everything. Wild flowers, wild rhodies, a nice treed hiking trail and even access to the beach. We went on a Tuesday morning so there were no crowds however hiking around and then taking the trail to the summit was pretty straight up. I would say it was a little bit more hard than moderate. We didn’t mind the power lines because getting to the top of them was an accomplishment and the view was beautiful! The highlight of the hike at the top was have a bald eagle fly about 9 or 10 feet right over our heads! Amazing!

Goose Rock Trail, a fairly short hike at .5 to 3 miles depending on how you navigate the rock, offers both the moderately challenging summit along with the perimeter of the rock that views beautiful Puget Sound.

A quick and easy trail with a satisfying view at the end. I wish there weren't telephone lines at the top though.

Decent Hike, Parking at the Deception Pass Bridge. Discovery Pass Required. Bathroom facilities available, good hike for all skill levels. Awesome views of Deception Pass

Started the hike from West Beach, on the other side of the freeway. Discover Pass needed. Weather overcast. Low tide for the beach. Started out on the trail from West Beach to North beach, ended up on the beach. With the low tide able to walk all the way to North Beach. Headed up to the bridge and walked under to the other side. Very little elevation gain from the bridge to some switchbacks. A few spurs for good viewpoints to the sound. First set of switchbacks went downhill then started up the trail to the summit. Beautiful view from the top. Stopped to watch the jets flying by when we were part way up. Nice area at the summit to stop and enjoy the view and have a snack. Looped back to the bridge, up the stairs and across the bridge to the other side. Beautiful views. Not too many people on the trail. But be careful on the bridge. Lots of people on a narrow sidewalk.

Perimeter trail is pretty. All the uphill is in the last half-hour. Nice view from the top, but traffic noise the entire way.

Trail was fine, in good condition. I'd say it was on the easier side with pretty viewpoints. If you're looking for a remote beach take the perimeter trail

Good trail to feel the burn!

The south side with the switchbacks is quite difficult for an older inexperienced hiker like me, but without that being noted on the trail map I didn't know not to take it. Should have known by the switchbacks. It was exhausting on a hot day. Glad I had lots of water. It was beautiful at the top. Got a bit lost on the perimeter trail on the way back. Needs better signage at certain points. Happy 100th to the National Park System.

Pretty easy couple mile hike with some great views. We continued hiking under the bridge, down and around the beach passing cranberry lake. Pretty easy overall for even the novice hikers in our party.

Good hike, couldn't believe how short it was for the view.

Good inclines, nice trails, amazing view at the summit!

the trail to the summit was very nice but there is a fallen tree in the path.

I started by going up the summit first, then down to the perimeter trail. Maybe 2 miles in all. I think it was good to get the bulk of the uphill hike over at the beginning. It's a good hike for listening to music as well as it helps drown out the sounds of nearby humans.

Great trail, but very short. I live on the Island, so I walk the trail several times a month. There's several ways to get to the top with varying difficulties. The south side with the switchbacks is the most difficult and it's not an easy hike, but if you want a workout....

If you want to make the hike last a little longer, start at the West Point parking lot. The trail heads towards Deception Pass and you get a nice view of the water as you walk. Then you'll reach the bridge and start hiking up Goose Rock which ever route you choose.

Great trail along the edge of the pass with some super views. There a a couple of climb/crawl areas to maneuver, but otherwise a fairly easy, well-marked, shorter hike. It's a small effort to the summit but totally worth it!
