Beautiful place to stretch your legs and have a picnic. Water is so clear you can see to the bottom. Saw signs to “save gold creek pond” and read that they want to fill in the pond. What a loss that would be! Petition: http://chng.it/5LykJ2Ygzy

Flat, paved and easy little loop but fun outing on the way to another hike my siblings and I were doing in Cle Elum. The water is super clear and the no one else was on the path which was nice. We did go at 4pm on a Tuesday.

WalkingGreat!

Extremely beautiful trail that is very easy to walk. It is paved and has bridges along with great spots to stop and get to the edge of the lake for a gorgeous view. Would highly recommend for beginning hikers and trail walkers.

Great for an easy stroll with beautiful nature surrounding you! Loved seeing the beaver dams and interesting birds and flowers along the way. Almost felt like the alps. Will be bringing my handicapped dad back to enjoy the view for lunch at one of the picnic tables. Watch out for major potholes on the 5 minute drive in!

Beautiful! Very easy stroll alongside water & mountains. Lots of families and little kids playing in the creek. The trail is paved most of the way, except for a bridge or two (some had holes in the bridge which might make it difficult for seamless handicap access). All around great day activity.

Short, simple, and sublime. Great for a day picnic but be sure to bring insect repellant because the mosquitos were relentless.

This was a very fun easy trail for my family. My 4 and 7 year old really enjoyed. Carried my 1 year old in a hiking carrier. Beautiful pond. Will definitely come again next summer. Just FYI the road to the parking lot has tons of potholes. Also the some parts of the wood on the bridges are broken but can be easily step over.

Tons of potholes on the way in, so make sure you have a car that can make it (our 2018 Tiguan did fantastic)! Beautiful walk, definitely not a hike. Few parts of the bridges have holes but nothing you can’t step over. Forest Rangers we’re out making sure everyone paid their $5 fee or had a NW Forest Pass.

not a hike but a nature walk. beautiful mountain views, the drive there was also amazing! before you actually go to the trail, the road LEADING to the parking lot has sooooo many holes so be careful driving if you have a small car. I have a Elantra so I drove slow on it.

Super beautiful area and trail, just lots of people. Went around 4 and it was pretty packed. The only downside is someone was blaring music at the lake picnic area, but there were plenty of other spots around the lake you couldn’t hear the music.

One of my favorites! It’s beautiful - great for kids, lots of places to explore. The trail is wide enough to set distance with others , and a large picnic area to enjoy the view. Went on Saturday late morning and it wasn’t too busy yet, but I expect on a super sunny day it would be very busy . The restroom was open to use .

Visited this beautiful place on a weekday late in afternoon and there were hardly any other people around. It is incredibly beautiful! Lots of picnic tables and an easy paved walkway around the lake. Be sure to watch your step on the bridges and planked areas as the wood has rotted out in some areas and hasn't been fixed.

Beautiful paved trail suitable for beginners. Arrived around 12:30 on an overcast Sunday, and the parking lot was 75% full. Pay station is open, so bring your NWF pass or cash. No one was wearing masks today, but the trail is wide, and it's pretty easy to keep distance. There are some planks on wooden bridges and walkways that appear to have rotted out holes over the winter, so watch your step.

The trail is really a one mile loop. Should be labeled Gold Creek Pond Loop. It’s beautiful and stroller friendly. The other part of the distance is just a road, unless I missed something.

Is this trail open for hiking? I’m a bit confused to see reviews posted a week ago but the page says it’s closed. I was interested in going tomorrow but wanted to double check.

Am here for the 2nd time and love it! It’s nice and warm out and lots of people but not crowded, just the parking lot. The bathroom however is not open. Hope you enjoy this Memorial Day weekend. Stay safe.

Great Trail around the lake. If you would like to go to a super easy trail with a beautiful view that’s the place. Make sure go early less crowded. Lake very near to parking lot and they have some cool space with tables to spent a nice and warm day.
