Please note: This area of Mount Rainier National Park is closed due to snow for much of the year; check conditions before planning to hike this trail. This trail follows the Paradise River from the Paradise Valley Road up to the Skyline Trail. Parking is available just past the trailhead across the road at the Paradise River overlook. Fourth Crossing Trail gradually climbs while rewarding you with abundant wildflowers and picturesque views of the Paradise River as it tumbles over several little falls.

Wonderful! Come early.

A park ranger pointed out this trail that my sister and I otherwise would have missed. It was a quick (except for our many photo ops) but very rewarding hike. Could be used to reach the Skyline Trail from an alternate parking area.
