A fun trail to walk, run, or bike on. Very slow incline out so it’s not too hard of a ride. Beautiful views.

This is a great biking trail. From time-to-time, you’ll meet hitchhikers going somewhere...

Don’t park here!!! My car was broken into and they took everything. They even ripped off my bike rack and took two bikes that were locked on. Be careful!!!

Why it’s called Fish Lake Trail, I have no idea. This trail does not go to Fish Lake. It goes from West Spokane to Queen Lucas Lake, which is about 2 miles from Fish Lake. The trail brings you through eastern Washington scablands country and a forest of pine trees. It smells great. It also has an interesting industrial feel with the active train line paralleling it and the chain link fence so prominent on most of it. While biking from south to north, the downhill is very noticeable, but you’ll be pleasantly surprised to discover that biking back the other direction doesn’t feel like an uphill ride. Be sure to continue on past the Scribner Road trailhead to get to Queen Lucas Lake, because that’s the prettiest part.

Trail is great for running and biking and has quickly become a staple for warm weather exercise due to the convenient location. For the section that it parallels 195 or the train tracks it can be a little loud if there's traffic or trains passing by. There are also some homeless folk that inhabit spots just off the trail closer to the city, so if you have a low tolerance for that sort of thing then maybe you avoid it or bring a friend or dog.

The trail was pretty nice. It was paved and perfect for biking, but we were walking. This made the fact that the trail runs right along the highway irritating, but other than that it was pretty good

I've hiked and biked this train many times, and always has something new to offer each time. Great for bird watching, and wildlife viewing. Bring sunscreen.
