It was an amazing hike, I recommend checking out the falls the path on the right then going down on the path on the left of the information sign and getting the whole scenic view! An amazing hike for sure, so beautiful. Be careful to not go on rainy days though on the long path as it can get very muddy and slippery. Was definitely a work out getting back to the top but would do it again. 10/10

Great trail and a good hike. Took kids and our dog without any issues.

Great out and back hike. About 3 miles round trip with some challenging hills!

It is closed for restoration. You don't know that until you get here.

A lot of stairs at the beginning. The river was beautiful! Very dense forest and we had to climb over and crawl under a lot of trees that were blocking the trail. The trail does not take you to the waterfall and you cannot see the waterfall while on the trail itself. You can see the waterfall from an overlook before getting on the trail. Very nice trail and it was beautiful!

Awesome hike! We had a group and had kids with us. The river was beautiful. Found a little beach off the trail and cracked a cold one. The incline going up was a little hard for the little ones but there was plenty of time to take breaks. Definitely worth it and would do it again. Thumbs up! Oh! Also we did the 0.4 mile loop at the top thinking that was the hike... the trail head to the river was actually the first trail to the left behind the map board. Have fun y’all!

How do you get to the river?

Great trial for kids. The campground is closed because of root disease, but the grounds and trails are open for day use. Parking is limited and was full by the time we left.

Fun with kids :)

The forest is so dense in these parts. It's impressive! The falls were gorgeous but can't actually be seen from this trail. When you're near the trailhead there's a .1 mile loop to the right from where you can see the falls. Head to the left and down into the canyon to start this trail.

Took my 4&6 year old. Took us 2.5 hours with LOTS of stops. They loved it :)

Small hike, big reward! Fun for the whole family. We showed up around 10 in the morning and drove all the way through the campgrounds to the trailhead with no problems, and we were the only car in the parking lot. We made it down to the river with our 4 and 6-year-old in no time, and we played on the rocks for at least half an hour. It was very relaxing since we were the only ones there, with the sound of the river and the beautiful clear water. The trip back up had everyone a little winded and sweaty by the time we got to the top, but the canyon was worth it. We then took a small loop trail to see the waterfall, which was pretty level, and a nice change of pace from the steep grade of the canyon hike. We left around 11, and by then the parking lot was packed with cars, so you might want to come early.

I loved this trail. The views of the canyon are stunning and the trip down to the river is steep, but the forest has a lot of character.

Short, easy trail, decent view of the falls from the top. Water access from the bottom trail.

Very pretty overlook of the falls on the upper loop. Nice trail down to the creek and the feeder brooks. Easy down but steep for some on the way back. Nice vistas and good photo ops. Was there 3 days before Memorial Day and was very quiet and private. No one else there.

The camp site is right of HWY 101 and the parking is slim. it's quite, it appears that the site is closed as all restrooms are locked, gates are lock too. You have to park on the road and walk in. The start is steep. The fall is straight off the beginning of the trail. As the trail goes on it is up and down along the river. very nice clean trail. great area for photos. I'll post some new ones. The trail is dog friendly and IMO easy, the start is steep. My wife with MS was able to make it down but had a little problem getting back up. But great hike all in all.

Falls View camp site provides you with breath taking view of the mountains, waterfall and river. Hiking down to the river is very steep and short but well worth the hike. On a sunny day the river looks so clean you want to jump right in for a swim. But be careful the water is cold.
