Hiked 7/6. Trail in good condition, a few muddy spots, several easy creek crossings. I went to the top of the basin trail then did the overlook to Lake Ann. That trail is steeper and rockier. But the views are worth it! Do them both! Bathroom at trailhead is open and was clean. Lots and lots of wildflowers right now. No bugs to speak of.

Great trail, not too challenging. Many areas of streams and water trickling down the hill, wear waterproof shoes! Parking fills up incredibly fast. Get there early!

When we saw cars lining the road leading up to the trailhead we got nervous it would be very busy but it wasn’t too bad. Definitely a workout for me, someone in average shape, but totally doable. Took us 3.5 hours.

Such a beautiful trail. Decent amount of creek crossings but I was able to hop along the rocks to keep my feet from getting wet. I did run it, but it would also be very enjoyable to hike because it is such a gradual and chill incline with a great payout. The service road to get there is very long so don’t be concerned, you are going the right way.

Beautiful day and a beautiful hike. Nice views of the mountains, forests and meadows. Trail was in good condition with some mud and occasional ice and snow, but nothing requiring special traction.

this is one of our favorite trails. enjoy the trail today with our dog Chester. Not many people around but it was just a Friday. the Ten Mile Gravel Road leading up to the trail was wash boarded but was no problem for our Jeep. the trail is very Rocky so be careful with your footing. There's one spot along the trail where there is huge pine cones. saw a group of black tailed deer on the road after we left the trail.

Started a little later in the day than we should have but still did ok on an 85 degree day because we took mini breaks as needed. Beautiful views at the top of Mt Stuart and surrounding mountains. Trail conditions varied. Toughest parts were where there were lots of rocks that had been brought in and a dusty catwalk about a mile from the end. Lots of horse poop, but there were also at least ten rivulets we crossed—great for our hot and thirsty pup. The last ten miles of the road driving there was pot hole and washboard heavy, but not any worse than lots of other hikes.
