This is not an out and back as the previous poster said. It is a good loop if you connect it with Ross lake.

This was a very beautiful trail offered breath taking views everyday of our trip. It is not the most used or maintained trail and is over grown in parts. I would also say that it is more than moderate, it was difficult trek in August with limited water sources.

Don't do Devil's Dome as an out and back! A trail follows Ross lake all the way to the trailhead and is much shorter/easier
