Used this trail coming down from glacier point - beautiful meadows. I am not sure I would categorize as easy especially coming down. Takes a good amount of effort to get to the trailhead so even the small incline can be a doozy. Beautiful floral and Mountain View’s. Worth it if you’re up for it!

Love walking around these trails! Saw deer out today! Took my 15 month old nephew....pretty sure he loved it!

This trail is paved so it is nice. However, I wouldn't say it's easy as it does have some pretty steep climbs. Great views!!

We started this hike on the Dead Horse Creek Trail on the advice of a Ranger who said we would miss a lot of casual hiker traffic if we avoided the trail section just above the Jackson Visitor Center. The trail is well maintained and well marked, but it carries a lot of traffic so getting lost is not a worry. At the top, we took advantage of the little stone potty that looks like a hobbit house. The day we were here, a helicopter was going back and forth from a meadow below taking away full 30 gallon drums marked, “HUMAN WASTE” and bringing up empties. Guess the sewer line doesn’t extend 1,800 feet up from the V.C. On the way down, we saw a black bear munching his way down a valley about 1/4 mile to our left. The wildflowers on this trail are astounding! There are many rivulets coming down from the snowfields and glaciers, and all along them is lush with green grasses and tons of flowers. At the end of the hike, we officially designated it as “EPIC!”

Great hike for the family! We brought our 7 month old (1st time!) and it was perfect. I would recommend as a beginner hike for those new to the mountain.

Beautiful trail! The wild flowers were breath taking! Couldn't believe how many there were for August!

Breathtaking views and thin air. Be careful as the fog and mist keep the trail covered in a thin layer of moss and algae. It can be extremely slippery in some spots. Stay on the trail!

Lively trail to say the least, very very heavily trafficked, clearly the main trail at the park. It is a paved trail (for 90% of the way) and is incredibly steep for a section. That being said it is a lovely hike, if you're looking for a short burst challenge, look no further. Fabulous hike, just keep in mind there will be hundreds of other hikers on this trail at any given time.

Great option instead of the main freeway out of Paradise (skyline trail) . . Dead Horse does intersect with the Skyline Trail at Glacier Vista. Dead Horse is a great little 2 mile hike unto itself . . The quieter side of Paradise.
