The KC Loop portion of this trail is 4+ miles and is a wide trail with a slow and gradual change of elevation. Trails 130, 160, and 110 are narrow (standard trail width) and have a few moderate slopes. To get into the park, a Discover Pass is required and costs $10 for the day or $30 for a year. Park at the "hairpin" parking lot to start at the Lower KC Loop trailhead.

Amazing trail out on Mt Spokane. Most of the trail appears to be on a secluded section away from most of the foot and bike traffic. Once you are on the north side of the mountain, the views are amazing. Quite a climb once you start making the ascent to the top, but the thick forest, trees and ferns all around are quite a view to take in.

We started clockwise with the KC Loop so we could spend the first half warming up. Turned out to be a good idea because we had plenty of energy to scramble the rocks at the overlook on Day Mountain. Jogged down to Saddle Junction and walked the rest of the way to cool down.
