Great hike bring the proper gear currently the trail is a ice skating rink. There is currently no way over the big falls by the glacier as it’s running high and it’s just slushy ice. If you go up the climbers rout it might be doable. Great hike just be careful with the ice and crossing the streams. There is about 2-4 inches of snow on the trail.

Rope up, use crampons and be careful around crevasses. One should have some basic mountaineering skills for a Baker climb. Very enjoyable ascent.

Good early season conditions right now. Snow was mostly solid. Snowshoed the whole way. Crampons could be useful for the final push, but not necessary if you have good traction on your snow shoes.
