Super pretty, it was nice to get out before it rained. The trail is pretty muddy in some places but other than that it was awesome!

Enjoyed this relatively easy trail. I felt I needed more so I coerced my peeps to do the new addition; it was really pretty but I wish there was a view at the end, besides the log bench. We opted to take the log road down, and totalled just about 10 miles. I can't wait until they add more, it appears this is a work in progress.

Trail was well kept but slightly muddy, though that’s not surprising in late October. Very lovely view post at the halfway point, where we stopped as do most hikers. You can see most of Lake Whatcom as well as Bellingham, the bay, and far into Canada.

Awesome sunny day for it, not to busy or muddy. So worth it, took an hour to walk 2 miles uphill.

Beautiful trail! Very clean paths, not a lot of traffic today. Dryer than usual due to the lack of rain so be vigilant of your steps. Otherwise really fun trail with a beautiful view at the top!

Moderate, but fairly short, trail above lake Whatcom. With a great view! Parking lot was full by 10am on a summer weekend, but others parked along the street. Perfect trail for a quick hike near the city. Hiked 9/19/20.

Too many people. Thought going early would beat the crowds. Found on the ground: 3 masks, 1 hat, 1 tshirt, 1 hiking stick, and one back pack. Also counted 5 beautiful Golden Retrievers

HikingGreat!

Fine for a workout but not very interesting for my 10 and 13-year-old boys. We did see a cool Barred owl though. Best to go on a cooler day as the sun beats down on you at the top. Lots of nettles so be aware. The trail was prettiest in May when more wild flowers were blooming.

Plenty of parking at the main parking lot, bathroom facilities at TH. Enjoyable trail, gradual elevation (switchbacks) to the top of the lookout. We were blessed with a sunny day taking in the breathtaking views. There were several hikers on the trail for being a Tuesday.

Beautiful hike. Not too bad of a climb and definitely worth the view at the top. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a moderately short but beautiful hike.

One of my favorite hikes, mild but still moderate, the switchbacks make the incline feel leisurely. The view at the top is gorgeous.

A very easy hike and a great beginner hike. There aren’t many steep parts so it’s pretty low impact, plenty of shade esp through the old growth. I really enjoyed this hike, it was as easy as a long walk in the woods. The switchbacks were very level and well maintained. The length will still give you a good workout. Watch out for bikers! Most were polite but some didn’t give fair warning and I have a medium sized dog that almost got hit. Everybody was good about masks.

Chanterelle is a mild moderate trail. It’s 2.5 mi to the lookout. Few tree roots or rocks and a dirt surface. Mildly zig zags up to the lookout. The Lake Whatcom view is absolutely. beautiful! Good trail for beginners. Enjoy!
