Great hike for beginners. Gradual, steady incline of 1000ft without big roots, mud or boulders to climb over. Trail is well maintained and well marked. Nice view at the top of Lake Whatcom.

Great (nice and wide) trail with a meandering climb and lots of flat traverses. Nice view of Lake Whatcom at the top. Hiked it with my husband and dad. I plan to trail run it next time. Note: Mountain bikers can ride up trail but not down. There is a gravel trail down for mountain bikers.

Great signage, steady elevation gain, good terrain, great payoff at the top with view of Lake Whatcom. Very little mud even after days of rain.

All up hill, but not at a terribly steep grade. The views at the top are incredible!
