Hike around Cascade lake in Moran state park on Orcas Island, WA.

This trail is very gorgeous and is very mild. We started in the afternoon since it’s not too long and there aren’t a lot of elevation gains. We did a larger loop and included the Cascade Falls as well. The Fall is for sure a beautiful spit you want to include in your trail. In general there are very nice views of the lake as you walk around it. We saw more than 15 deers which was very amazing.

Really nice, flat trail. I ran this loop a couple times in the morning while camping at the lake. Part of the trail is along the side of Olga Rd, which is pretty busy, but the rest of the trail is very scenic.

Beautiful hike. Not a lot of elevation changes and a fairly clean path around beautiful views in all directions. Lots of vegetation. Very good moderate hike with concessions at the trail head.

We did this loop with our kids one morning last week when we were camping on Orcas. A nice leisurely pace will get you around the lake in an hour - most likely less. Beautiful hike with gorgeous views of the lake and surrounding area. Small elevation changes. Trail is well marked. It's a bit overgrown on the eastern portion on both sides of Olga Road between the Midway and Southend campgrounds with some low branches you have to bend over for. But we also saw a couple of deer in that area right off the trail - who didn't seemed too bothered by us.

a very easy and friendly hike. the area around the footbridge is gorgeous...we could have stayed all day. watch for the bald eagle that loves that area as hunting ground! he's a show off. ;)

We had a gorgeous spring evening and this was a perfect after dinner walk. Except for a park ranger and several deer we had the trail to ourselves. Most of the hike is relatively flat and close to the water, which is always pleasant. The east side of the hike moves up the hill into the trees so you lose some views of the lake, but overall this is a wonderful, relaxing hike.

Love this trail!! Started at Cascade Falls with off road parking under Moran State Park Arch. Well marked, clear with some patches of snow and ice. Enjoyed the beautiful waterfalls throughout the trail.

Beautiful trail around cascade Lake. We were able to run a lot of it and only have to hike a little of it. I highly recommend it for the runner who might be around 60!

Nice hike. Detoured to Cascades Falls and then to the other three falls and Mountain Lake. Lots of trails to connect to and go as far/long as you want to. Two lakes and four falls in less than 2 hours - totally worth it.

Beautiful Hike on a beautiful island!

Great hike! Starting from the day use area, you have the option to connect to the Cascade Falls trail, which offers a couple waterfalls and adds a little bit more distance. Lots of great views throughout.

Not just a view of the lake, but lots of trees and wildlife. I did the lake loop and the lagoon together. It took about 1 1/2 hours

Nice hike, although the entire west section of the trail is within earshot of the main road on the island, so it’s not super peaceful. But the east side of the lake is really beautiful and has very nice views. Doable hike for almost anyone, not too much elevation gain.

Good easy hike but the best part are the wonderful swimming spots and fun rock jumping opportunities from the trail!

Great views all over. Busy place in the summer. Good places to jump off rocks into the water as well. P.s. Don't touch the snail shells, they stink.

Great walk around a beautiful body of water. The up and down make it a moderate hike, but it wasn't too difficult.

Easy trail around this peaceful lake. You'll come to a gorgeous bridge and we just took in the silence. So gorgeous. Picnic tables are on one side where Trail begins. Worth the hike for sure.

Beautiful Lake and well manicured trail

Nice, easy trail. Recommend walking counter-clockwise. And recommend taking the detour to Cascade falls (.9 each way) for more of a challenge and the falls are a beautiful reward.

We combined this hike with the add on loop to cascade falls. Very nice views and changing terrain. Steep in sections and the stated elevation gain is misleading as the ups and downs are near constant. We started and ended at day use beach, great views of lake all around the loop.

I went with a friend and came in the short hike. Being from Arizona the temperature was nice and cool well canopied trees and lovely soft groomed paths. We just hiked in to the Cascades and back out.
