Nice open trail.. fun to be on part of the Wonderland Trail. The falls were cool. Although the ones on the road were prettier!! Good fall colors.

Hiked in the rain in beautiful 55 degree conditions. Muddy but manageable and a gorgeous view of the falls, river and mountain surrounding. Only downfall was the massive pipe running along the mountain side about 3/4 way into the hike - didn’t last long though! Highly recommend.

First time taking my 4 kids, ages 4-10, on a hike. The incline was a little tough but overall it was pretty great. Loved the gorgeous view and the awesome bridge over the Nisqually.

Fun hike. Make sure you keep going 500ft passed the first falls to view the second.

It is a pretty hike but it’s not an easy hike , the incline was harder than expected.

Very cool! The hike to Carter Falls is pretty neat. From crossing the Nisqually River to walking through the old and new growth forests. It could be considered moderate for those not used to steady incline.

This hike was a pleasant surprise! We were going to go see the river and decided to continue on to the falls, you can go past Carter falls to see some other falls farther up. We did see a good amount of people but it was still very peaceful and quiet along the trail. The path is very well maintained and soft but the elevation gain seemed to be a little more than 500 to us. I would rate as easy/moderate depending on your skill!

Beautiful falls, nice maintained trail.

Hiked on memorial weekend. Well maintained trail, pretty busy but not over crowded. Lucky enough to get a sunny afternoon. Hiked from Cougar Rock Campground to Carter Fall and the trail was snow free.

Got too icy for us to get much past Madcap Falls, but the rest of it is great! Amazing views of Mt Rainier at the start, and a good hike all along the way. The falls themselves are very nice!

Hiked up on 5/4/19. After 1/4 of the whole trail, everything was still covered in deep snow. We completed 3/4 of the hike and made it to the narada falls, but it was pretty tough. Slipped and fell into the snow at least 15 times (no injury). I’m sure the trail is pretty when all the snow is gone, I’d love to come back to complete it!

Spectacular. The ascent is well worth the view. You can actually walk right up to where the water hits the bottom, that is if you want a very cold shower. Don't even think of getting a picture unless you have a waterproof camera. If you are planning on doing this hike you need to get there early, there are only about 10-12 parking spaces. You cannot park on the side of the road because there isn't one. This trail is rated easy on the trail review. However, if you are not a regular hiker or used to physical activity, this will not be easy. It is all uphill with several steep ascents. Take is slow and you will be rewarded at the end.
