This route is on my annual 6-Pass Hike which includes - Grand, Cameron, Lost, Hayden, Constance, and Marmot Passes. It has traditionally been a very hot and windy pass every time I've done it. I am usually in this section during the last weeks of August. This year it looks like I will be through here in late July. Cameron Pass is second to Lost Pass as my favorite during this hike. For those strapped for time, a beautiful loop to do is to leave Obstruction Point, hike to Cameron Pass and at the pass walk the ridge back to Obstruction Point. Make one of you camps at Lake Lillian near McCartney Peak, it will not disappoint you.
