Bird WatchingGreat!

Great variety and very scenic. Saw multiple bald eagles and enjoyed the outlooks to the sound and Olympics. We camped here and did a morning hike with the trail almost all to ourselves.

Enjoyed the trail in the morning and was very quite. Some steps in places. Nice mix of wood and bay views throughout. Part of the loop was closed but still enjoyable. Stayed at the campsite so was direct onto the trail

Gorgeous trail! a few steep areas but overall even. accidentally wandered on to the campsite once but was easy to figure out where we took a wrong turn. end of the loop involves going on the road for a bit.

Great views! I would advice to visit for a hike or bring family in the morning time, it's peaceful, you can go through the hike and rest by the waters after, they have few spots for camping as well. This location does get plague with people by noon. Mornings are always the best just saying.

A great place to unwind in nature along the sound, maybe see some eagles. Our strategy is to do one of the loops (length dependent on available time, energy level, how full the campgrounds, etc) to arrive at the beach near sunset and walk west/northwest toward the other part of the park - note this is only possible certain months due to tides. Seriously some of the best sunsets you'll ever see.

Pretty wide, nice trail with great views. Minimal rocks and roots. Awesome for amateur trail runners who need cushion and want something pretty flat with very gradual hills.

Well maintained trails, and the view was phenomenal. The shade was nice on the bluff, too. Great view of the Olympics and the Cascades, with Rainier peeking over the trees.

This was my first visit to Camano Island, and I’m so glad I finally made it there! The views of the puget sound and Olympic mountains are stunning. We watched for Orcas, hoping to get a glimpse of them, as I had read they were recently spotted in the area. No luck, but that’s ok. We will try again another day! The park is wonderful- lots of parking available, amazing bathrooms (very thankful for the changing tables!), and well maintained trails. My toddler rode in the backpack carrier most of the time, but was also able to walk some because the trail is in good shape and flat in some sections, making me feel safe enough to let him down for a bit. Everyone I encountered on the trail was friendly and I never felt unsafe, even as a solo/mom hiker. I kept cell reception for a majority of the time, which I always appreciate when I’m walking alone with the kiddo. It was nice being able to “get away” into the woods, but also few close enough to society that we could easily have access to help if we needed it. There were lots of benches along the way to rest and enjoy the view (not that the toddler let me do that!). We will definitely be back!

The trail offers nice views of the ocean and a refreshing walk through the forest. Parts of the trail were not marked very clearly so we did not do the full loop and cut through the Roy’s trail instead. Bring some bug spray, one of our group got bit by a bunch of mosquitoes.

Signage could have been better. It never felt very far away from civilization. However, I did like the views of the water, and that it wasn’t very busy at 9:30am on a Saturday.

Beautiful moderate trail with beach access. A nice walk in the woods, not too buggy yet this time of year. Lots of places to sit and rest. The tracker I was wearing has the loop at 2.6 miles. I didn’t find the signage that bad. Only took a wrong turn once. Use the app to track your location on the map and that will help. Very nice restrooms down at the beach.

Went on a beautiful spring day. The beach and vistas were gorgeous but the trails were confusing and we found ourselves walking on paved roads through campgrounds instead of trails towards the vistas.

Trail is very nicely maintained. As stated otherwise started here, the signage is confusing but we still enjoyed ourselves and had fun exploring.

Perfect January day in the sunshine. Finally explored the whole park. Started at the beach to immediately get the hill climb/stairs out of the way. Only saw one tree down on the entire length of the trail. Ended with a sit on the beach watching the harbor seals play ❣️

Well maintained trails. My only complaint was that the trail markers are somewhat confusing and we wondered off the trail a number of times.

First to Review

A nice hike in the early spring since the Cascade Mountain Range had quite a bit of snow at the time. It was a drizzly day, a little cold and some snap winds but all in all, a fantastic hike with not a lot going on. I wandered the beach for a little bit and headed back to my vehicle. A great leg stretcher, very little elevation gain and nice views on a cloudless day.
