Beautiful. It was a cold foggy morning and the views were still stunning. Easy walk and very informative.

This is a family friendly trail. Clearly marked paths were easy to follow and walk along. Beautiful views of the lake and surrounding area. Informational signs also lined the path. Dog friendly but must remain on leash.

Awesome views and easy walking for my 3 year old, we ended up taking the trail that shoots off from the boat launch and catching some beautiful rainbow trout on the backside of the lake after completing this short loop!

nice easy stroll. This was found by accident. We thought we were starting on a much longer hike, ended up quickly back where we started. Very pretty though. Restrooms nearby were clean and we were there with no crowds. Lake is beautiful.

Nice interpretive trail at the end of Coldwater Lake just below the Visitor Center. The boardwalk takes you out into the water... Saw a snake. Picnic tables provide a nice place to relax with a cool breeze off the lake.

Super short looped trail, but the lake is beautiful. Was cloudy and wet when we were there, but the view was still amazing.

This trail is short, but extremely family/stroller friendly. It's quiet since no gas powered boats are allowed on the lake. nice view of Mt. St. Hellens as well. Great place to have a picnic when up on the mountain.

For it's length, this trail has some of the most spectacular scenery I've ever seen. The last 1/4 mile or so is on a boardwalk that stretches out into the lake and offers amazing vistas of the surrounding peaks and Mt. St. Helens. Lots of eruption debris is still in the water, but the water is crystal clear and on a clear day, clouds reflect nicely in its surface. The lake was created when the eruption occurred on May 18, 1980. As other lakes were all but destroyed, this one formed as a new site for nature to recover and display glorious colors in all seasons. If you are visiting the Mt. St. Helens National Volcanic Monument, this trail is a must-see. Only downside? No pets allowed, which is the case in all National Parks.
