Plenty of hikers out on a Saturday afternoon. Construction on trailhead improvements has started, but was not active today. So there are some orange silt fences around the parking area. Earlier this summer there was a fair amount of blowdown. Much of it has been cleared with recent trail maintenance. However there are still a few precarious logs in or over the trail, including one that impaled itself into the middle of the path. None are difficult to get around, but do be aware of your surroundings, especially if it's windy.

A good trail for dogs and kids. Well maintained but note that the incline is pretty aggressive in the first mile. Due to that, I would rate this a bit more on the moderate side for ability levels.

Parts were overgrown but didn’t see any poison oak or anything. Good climb in a short distance. Might be bad if wet. Steep and sandy in some areas.
