Very steep from the bottom Trail head. Fantastic Erratic huge rock was fun to rest on and impressively large boulder. Lots of steps, shaddy and good for more intermediate beginners.

It was really humid when we went this afternoon. We put mosquito repellent on and the bugs seemed to leave us alone.

Smells nice. Decent amount of mosquitoes. Lots slugs, careful.

The trail starts at a tiny (3 cars) parking area on highway 900 just South of Talus Drive. Try to back into the area to make it easier to exit into heavy traffic. The climb up to the "Fantastic Erratic Boulder" is gradual / serene and the boulder has a nice flat spot to take a break on. The trail remainder is more moderate as it climbs thru switchbacks to its max altitude. Trail is in good shape and only saw two other hikers on a weekday. A few bugs were buzzing.

Serene trail with little traffic. Gentle uphill climb with downhill most of the way back. We stopped to rest on the cool giant boulder. Beautiful area!
